Pain Management

At Trigger Point Physio we understand there is a big difference between treating and managing acute vs chronic or persistent pain.

Pain is defined as being Chronic or Persistent if you have had pain for longer than 3 months or the pain you are experiencing exceeds what you would normally expect to experience from your underlying pathology. Here at Trigger Point Physio our Principal Physiotherapist, Melissa, has had many years’ experience in the area of treating and managing Chronic Pain.   At Trigger Point Physio we take a bio-psycho-social approach to identifying contributing factors to your persistent pain condition and developing an appropriate treatment approach, in conjunction with your doctor and other health professionals involved in your case, and creating a pain management plan that’s right for you.

Melissa’s experience includes working 7 years at the Wesley Pain Management Service and currently consults at Greenslopes Private Hospital in the IMPACT Pain Management Program.
